Call for Interns at Osservatorio Balcani e Caucaso Transeuropa

In the framework of the Jean Monnet Module “EU-PROX”, coordinated by Jens Woelk and Alessandra Russo, Osservatorio Balcani e Caucaso Transeuropa (OBCT) will host 2 interns from the University of Trento during 2026:

  • 1 intern will be hosted approximately from 2 March to 29 May;
  • 1 intern will be hosted approximately from 4 May to 31 July.

The specifics of each internship (daily/weekly schedule, duties, and responsibilities) will be defined on a case-by-case basis, depending on the competencies, academic background, and skills of each intern, as well as on the projects and activities OBCT will be managing during the respective internship periods. These elements will be formalised in a learning agreement, drafted in collaboration with the Jean Monnet Module coordinators and the Job Guidance Office of the University of Trento.

Requirements: 

  • Enrolment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme at the University of Trento;
  • Documented knowledge of the European Union, with proven familiarity with its neighbourhood and enlargement policies;
  • Fluency in both English and Italian (please note that internship activities are carried out in both languages).

Desirable qualifications: 

  • Familiarity with the Western Balkans, South Caucasus, and Eastern Europe;
  • Knowledge of additional foreign languages beyond the two required ones.

  • a motivation letter.

The application deadline is 6 February. Based on the applications received, the Jean Monnet Module coordinators will draw up a shortlist of eligible candidates. The shortlist may be used in the event of withdrawals. The selection committee reserves the right not to select any candidate should no profile adequately match the internship requirements.
